According to the Deputy Director General of "Ukrzaliznucia" Leonid Loboyko, both day and night trains will run in Ukraine for the transportation of fans during Euro 2012. "The football fans who will come to support their teams in the championship of the continent, will take Ukrainian trains at the state border checkpoints. It will look like this: Polish train arrives in Dorohusk, fans undergo customs control, and then they change the train in Jagodina," - he said in the interview to the newspaper "Faktu".

Leonid Loboyko added that since the matches will end at midnight, the football fans will be transported by the night trains, as well as by the daily express trains. The new train of Kryukovsky carriage works will run on the route Kiev - Kharkov. Moreover, the Euro fans will be able to take the double-decker trains of the Czech company «Skoda» and high-speed electric trains «Hyundai Rotem», which are already on their way to Ukraine. "In mid-March, we expect the arrival of first two trains at the port of Odessa. After the customs clearance and assembly, they will be transported to Kharkov for testing. All the trains will operate in the "pendulum mode" - between Kiev and Lviv, Kiev and Kharkov and between Kiev and Donetsk through Poltava ", - said Leonid Loboyko.

He pointed out that in order to ensure the movement of trains at speeds of up to 160 km / h the railway infrastructure modernization is carried out, including the replacement of the rails with the continuous welded ones, the reequippement of the crossings and the electrification of the certain areas. "We are ready to receive the high-speed trains. Nowadays, we upgrade the Kharkov wagon station, where the «Hyundai» train service will be held. The constaction of a new depot for repair and cleaning complex has been launched in Kiev, "- said Leonid Loboyko.
